Hello!

Hi, I’m Anouk de Vries, the founder of The Girls Club!

I’ve been coaching for the past five years, helping women build strength and confidence through Thai boxing and weightlifting. What started as a passion project during the pandemic has led me to train over 150 women across Toronto.

Whether you're here to learn self-defense, get stronger, or just have fun, I’m excited to guide you on your journey.

Let’s train, fight and grow together!

About me

My Story

I’ve spent most of my life wanting to lose weight and get stronger but struggled to find a program I could stick to. Nothing seemed to click - until I walked into a kickboxing gym in Munich, Germany. I fell in love with the sport, the discipline and the empowering feeling it gave me. Eventually, I transitioned to a more traditional Thai style and never looked back.

This journey not only transformed my body but also my mindset, teaching me resilience and confidence I never knew I had.

Before Muay Thai, I tried many sports - horseback riding, skiing, golfing, tennis, and track and field. I’ve always loved the thrill of sports, but Muay Thai became something truly special to me. It taught me valuable lessons that influence who I am today: resilience, determination and the confidence to conquer anything that comes my way.

It’s not just a sport - it’s a mindset that shapes my day-to-day life.

Since 2017, I’ve been helping my friends get fit, sharing what I’ve learned and inspiring others to embrace their strength. In 2021, I became a fitness advisor at 1st Phorm, a role that played a huge part in my growth as a personal trainer. That same year, I founded 'AdV Fitness' (now rebranded to The Girls Club) and began coaching full-time, turning my passion into my career.

I believe the success of The Girls Club comes from more than just great workouts - it’s about community. The relationships we form here are what make the difference. It’s a supportive and empowering environment where women come together, support each other and grow stronger as a group.

The connections are the heart of what I do, and they inspire me every day.

Even more about me...

I’m Dutch, but I grew up in Germany. At 16, I moved to England to study Theatre and Drama, and later, I moved to Canada to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Film and Media Production.

In addition to coaching Muay Thai, I started my modelling career by doing boxing commercials, which allowed me to combine my love for film with my passion for boxing. This eventually led me to become a professional model and special skills extra for film and television, where I have the chance to explore another creative side of myself.

Let's Connect

I'm always looking for new and exciting opportunities, let's connect!
